Fish wheel above the high water mark
For us, the harvesting season has started: raspberries (over), garden crops (ongoing), low bush cranberries (ongoing), high bush cranberries (on going).

Low bush cranberries - I have to be quick to beat the mice!
Soon, we will start to look out for a moose. Once every two or three years we go moose hunting. More about that later.

Structures in the sand - I love it!
So you moved the fish wheel all in one piece? Wasn't that heavy?
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of the sand and rocks! What a cool pattern!
I hope the info we gave you on washers & dryers worked for you!
Bounty of the land!
ReplyDeleteI had a ton of catch up to do! I am really behind on reading blog posts. Very interesting material on the king Salmon. What marvelous fish. It would be a shame to lose them. Your pictures are always great to see, keep them coming! That must have been quite a feat to move the fish wheel but you two seem to always find a way to do the next to impossible.Until next time!
ReplyDeleteThat photo in the sand looks like you've been photoshopping all day long! Very pretty. And those fruits look and sound delicious.
ReplyDelete:) The time of year to be a hunter gatherer.
ReplyDeleteWishing you happy trails on your harvesting and hunting trips along the river! :)
ReplyDeleteSo much hard work to keep you alive!!! I could not imagine the cold you must suffer. I live in Central eastern Australia that has nearly a tropical climate. I love your blog. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLove the sand picture.
ReplyDeleteJust checking in to say "HI" ;-)
