On the river
Quickly, the cold north wind is tearing down the leaves. Within a few days our yellow world will change colours again and soon it will be ... winter! Already, the weather forecast calls for snow in some areas of the Yukon Territory.
In a branch of the Yukon River - calm water reflecting the world around
A lake, dry grass, mountains in the background and the warm sun behind us. We named the lake 'Grouse Lake' after several spruce grouses we encountered on our walk to and from the lake (see below)

Picture perfect, you could make jigsaw puzzles out of them and when you get bored during those long winter months, you can solve them!
