Let me start with an excuse: It is hard to take good pictures when there is hardly any day light to start with, and when the little light the sun is able to send us is obstructed by thick layers of clouds. With that being said, let me share some of the evidence for one of the greatest snow falls I have experienced here so far: Yesterday morning, we woke to 22 centimetres of fresh new white. It covered up everything, including the most fragile twigs. All morning, the three of us were walking around like on clouds (really, the snow did not provide any resistance, even though we were walking in up to our knees!) and with little, dreamy-happy smiles on our faces.
High bush cranberry twigs with thick cover (9 am)In the course of the day, trees shed their loads and clouds of powder fluttered down. It looked like little explosions on weeping branches, followed by a deep sigh with relief of the associated tree.

Nothing so beautiful as undisturbed snowfall!
ReplyDeleteI would like to see the photos of your little dreamy-happy faces. :) Of course, photos never can capture those types of moments!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought Lance had turned into a big white poodle in that first photo. Turns out it was snow on a branch!
